Bog cotton mug

Large handmade stoneware mug, decorated with bog cotton. Each mug is unique, with variations including other plants such as sundew, butterwort, bog asphodel and orchids.

Mugs are hand thrown and handled, plant designs are then carved into an applied dark, peaty slip using a sgraffito technique. These are then bisque fired, and a variety of coloured glazes hand painted into the carved designs before a final glaze firing.

All tableware available is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, decorated with food safe glazes.
