Alder leaf - small

Alder leaf ornament, raku fired giving copper and gold tones over a green semi-translucent glaze revealing the leaves fine structure.

All of my raku leaves are made by hand using double sided moulds which I've created from real leaves. This gives a very fine relief texture, and while multiple leaves can be created from each of my moulds, the unpredictable nature of raku firing ensures every leaf is completely unique

This leaf measures 3.5 cm long, suspended on a clear thread.
